Volcanism at Valles Marineris

A specialist in planetary volcanism, Giovanni Leone, at ETH Zurich, using several sources of Mars probe imagery, interprets a number of ‘volcanic features’ surrounding the Valles Marineris and the adjacent ‘canyons’. The author claims that lava from elevated Tharsis Bulge ‘carved’ the Valles Marineris and Labyrinthus Noctis, but goes further, suggesting that the enormous outflow channels were not formed by water but by the same volcanic flows. This would have to have been very low viscosity lava. Cyclic Catastrophism suggests that around 3800 BC the Tharsis Bulge was uplifted by close approaches of proto-Venus to Mars, which was then in its ancient orbit inside that of the Earth. These same events created the great fault, termed the Valles Marineris on Tharsis’ flank. Subsequent encounters with Venus ejected Mars into an orbit which intersected the orbit of the Earth leading to the many (100) 14.4 year encounters between the two, revealed by cyclic catastrophism.

One of the most spectacular, unique events in cyclic catastrophism, was the ejection of the solid iron core of Mars through the Valles Marineris, which resulted in the termination of each of the one hundred geostationary encounters of Mars with the Earth.  The ejection of the enormous (4879.4 km) diameter spherical core through the Valles Marineris, the weak fault zone, greatly distorted the surrounding area, resulting in the nearby chaotic region known as Labyrinthus Noctis.  Akhenaten provided an amazing image of the great distortion, shown in Figure 1, when Mars orbited the Earth. As a result, both areas were repeatedly covered with some of Mars’ liquid outer core, evidence of which is reported in the cited paper. However, this material is more similar to iron meteorites found on Earth, which were also from Mars’ outer core.

Because of the small amount of water currently on Mars and the apparent lack of any force which could have caused the water to cut the enormous outflow channels toward the north, Prof. Leone takes a bold step, claiming that they were not formed by water but by the same volcanic flows originating on Tharsis Bulge. Although it is probable that the outer core material flows followed the outflow channels for some distance, they were not subject to the strong northward tidal influence of the Earth present at each capture, because the captures occurred at the beginning of each 14.4-year encounter, while the outer core material was released at the end. It is impossible using conventional geology to interpret these repeated cycles.  The true nature of the events which carved the currently observable features on Mars will never be interpreted by satellite observations, or even digging on the surface.

Fortunately, it has been revealed by the ancient texts written by those fortunate, one hundred generations of mankind which observed them. Cyclic Catastrophism teaches that the small amount of water now present on Mars is due to the fact that it was all transferred, along with Mars’ atmosphere, biosphere, and many precious mineral deposits, to the Earth between 3700 and 687 BC.

Cyclic Catastrophism has revealed the true makeup and origin of the planets, indeed the cosmogony of the entire solar system. How much longer will the academic institutions of the world pursue the flawed assumptions of uniformitarianism, corrupting the minds of more and more generations, when the truth is already known.

1 Cor 2:6-7  We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or the rules of this age, who are coming to nought. No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
