Apocalypse

Apocalypse from the Greek Apokálypsis means “lifting of the veil” or “revelation”, where calypsis is the veil. The veil to be lifted is a disclosure of something hidden from the majority of mankind in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception – an apt description of the present state of the world.  This is very close to the meaning of the Hebrew word Peleh, which is the title of my third book, actually Peleh: Hidden Knowledge.  I explain its title as follows:
Peleh is a mystical Hebrew word, often translated ‘miracle’ or ‘miraculous.’ It is the nearest Old Testament word to ‘supernatural.’  It connotes a revelation of heretofore concealed knowledge.  The root ‘peleh’ signifies a connection between the physical and the spiritual via the power of speech.  Consequently, the term ‘Peleh’ is used to describe those physical utterances which have both a physical and spiritual meaning. This aptly describes my book, which reveals heretofore ‘hidden’ knowledge concerning encounters of Venus, Mars and Mercury with the Earth during the Bronze and Iron Ages, suggesting that this chaos was purposefully initiated by Yehovah in order to rejuvenate a ‘tired’ Earth.

Ancient texts such as the Vedas and Egyptian reveal in exquisite detail the cosmic events by which, over a period of 12,000 years, Yehovah rejuvenated the Earth.  Not by magic, but by manipulating the planets using what we call the laws of physics.  After all, these are God’s laws, and he must work within this framework.  More than one hundred encounters of the planets Venus, Mars and Mercury with the Earth took place between 3700 and 700 BC.

In order to create mankind and allow him to populate the world during this period, the preparations for the encounters were profound – far beyond anything currently conceived by science (or science fiction):  The Moon was captured in a specific orbit around the Earth such that its angular extent coincided with that of the Sun and the two became aligned at the vernal equinox;  A new planet, proto-Venus was formed by impacting a body on Jupiter;  Close encounters of proto-Venus raised mass anomalies on the surface of the Earth (Tibetan-Himalayan Complex) and on the most ancient terrestrial planet, priori-Mars (Tharsis Bulge), in addition to a 4,000 km long fault (Valles Marineris) through which the solid core later exited;  By two close passes proto-Venus then wiped the Earth clean of the sub-human species, which populated it at the time, in preparation for the introduction of human beings;  Proto-Venus then deflected priori-Mars, then a living planet with oceans, a dense atmosphere, flora and fauna, into a precise orbit which intersected that of the Earth late in October and at the vernal equinox.

These were only the preparations necessary to make possible one-hundred fifteen-year encounters between priori-Mars and the Earth during which the entire oceans, atmosphere and seeds of tens of thousands of plants from the ancient living planet were transferred to the Earth.  This great plan also included the means for removing that planet from the vicinity of the Earth once the transfers were complete, by separating the solid core from the outer shell which are now known as Mercury and Mars respectively.

Based on those cosmic encounters, there are several interesting questions which should occur to the argute.

Q. How could such all-consuming events not be recorded?

A. They are documented in great detail in the ancient texts of a number of cultures and that documentation is available in every major library in the world as Mythology.

Q. Why has no one to date been able to interpret these myths?

A1.  Scientists have long since adopted a view of the solar system in which it is assumed that all the planets were created at its inception and that all the planets have remained in their current orbits for billions of years. This completely unfounded assumption, called uniformitarianism, has resulted in setting geophysics and astrophysics back several hundred years, and resulted in a completely fallacious view of the Earth and every single planet. It is essentially an atheistic view, denying the intrusion of god into the world, indeed His existence.  Most arrogantly denying the existence of God and even campaigning against the teaching of religion.  But God proves his omniscience by predicting the these very same attitudes 2,000 years ago, as aptly described in the biblical quotation below.

(2 Peter 3:3-7)  Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.  For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

A2. Another, more mystical, answer is suggested in this verse:

(Proverbs 25;2) It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

I believe that the amazing cosmic events which took place in our solar system in the last few thousand years were a proving ground for the process of rejuvenating planetary systems throughout the galaxy or even further.

(Rom 8:22 KJV)  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

This is to be the real, exciting work of the true believers, the Kingdom of God, not just the continual singing of praise for the Almighty.

  1. John, Thanks for the link to the Setterfield website. I have been interested in a number of topics which he discusses for years, particularly the quantization of redshifts and dark matter (about which I have posted). Uncharacteristically, considering the depths of some of his discourses, he dismisses Velikovsky using simplistic reasoning.
Not sure if he is still entertaining questions, or if he is even alive.
I searched the site for ‘Dodwell’ and ‘manuscripts’ and found neither. I’ll continue searching with Google.
    Thanks for your interest,

  2. Are you familiar with “The Dodwell manuscripts”
Fascinating reading for a catastrophist. I am not sure how this fits in with your theories. You can read and download at http://www.setterfield.org/
